Job Summary:

The main role of a Landscape architect is to plan and design open spaces including inner-city squares, shopping centers, parks, coastline and countryside. The aim is to produce pleasant places to live, work and relax, that are environmentally friendly and sustainable.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Using creativity and the beauty of nature, designing outdoor spaces that are not just aesthetically pleasing, but practical, too. Areas may include personal lawns, parks, highways, walkways, hotels, villas, beaches and more.
  • Confer with clients, engineers, and building architects to understand a project.
  • Provide various predesigned services which may include conducting feasibility and environmental impact studies, selecting a site, or specifying the requirements the design must meet.
  • Determining cost estimates to include work and materials to assist the client in making decisions about the project at hand.
  • Coordinate the arrangement of existing and proposed land features and structures.
  • Drawing maps that accurately show where other buildings and trees are, then design and plan around them. These drawings include walkways, fountains, new plants and buildings, and other decorations.
  • Use IT tools in designing and project management, specifically using software packages such as Computer Aided Design (CAD).
  • Gathering and analyzing data about the area, such as soil conditions, geography, amount of sunlight overall and during certain times of day, other structures, drainage, and more.
  • Overseeing construction work to make sure that the work matches the plans. Resolve problems and issues that arise during construction.
  • Creating restoration plans for areas of nature that have been disrupted by humans.
  • Conduct periodic on-site observation of work during construction to monitor compliance with plans.
  • Determine and take into account local, state, and federal guidelines that must be followed, such as those in place to protect wetlands or historic areas.

Job Requirements:

 Education and Formal Training

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in landscape design or landscape architecture is required, though did not necessarily have to be licensed to work as a landscape designer.

Work Experience

  • 3-5 Years of landscape and urban design experience preferably in gulf.
  • Excellent knowledge of design and visualizations software such as Computer Aided Design (CAD).

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Able to communicate ideas and recommendations to clients and non-engineer team members, in a precise and clear manner.
  • Strong project management skills. Must take initiative, manage resources and meet tight deadlines.
  • A strong background in horticulture is also required to understand which plants will work where, and why they will thrive there.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in collaboration with different teams.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • High standard of excellence and attention to detail.

Job Summary:

MEP Engineer is responsible for planning and design in the area of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) system including developing policies standard, inspection procedure and evaluation tools for MEP matters along with prepare, review drawing, specification and cost estimates for the mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing.

The role includes the management of the MEP team to ensure that the day to day duties are performed professionally and expeditiously to support the ongoing progress of the project.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for implementations and monitoring of all mechanical related works at site as per approved drawings, methods and safety, ensuring all activities are well planned and coordinated.
  • Estimates, prepares, and requests assignment of resources such as workforce, materials, consumables, equipment, tools required for all Mechanical and related works, before execution. Plans and analyses all possible construction methodologies and recommends the best options to the MEP Construction Manager for approval, before execution at site.
  • Interprets construction drawings and studies the contract documents and applicable standards or specifications before execution of any jobs.
  • Coordinates and provides engineering and technical support to all the Mechanical workgroups at the site.
  • Plans the execution of all Mechanical related works and coordinates the works with Electrical and civil groups.
  • Assign targets for accomplishments and ensure objectives are met on a daily basis for all Mechanical groups at the site.
  • Submits all relevant monitoring reports on a regular basis or as required.
  • Supports the MEP Construction Manager in accomplishing all the goals and targets for the Mechanical groups at the site.
  • Ensures that all the works completed are per the approved construction drawings, contract documents, project specifications, and all applicable standards whether local, national or international standards.
  • Coordinates and supervises all Mechanical Works and equipment installation activities.
  • Attends regular meetings with the client and other disciplines to provide an update on project progress.
  • Pre-resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems at the site that may arise at any time.
  • Coordinates contractors in preparing the daily progress reports.
  • Able to lead site personnel to execute and complete the job on time.
  • Responsible for managing/adhering to any additional tasks given by the Chairman apart from BAU (Business as usual) activities.

Job Requirements:

Education and Formal Training

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, or related field. Master’s degree, a plus.

Work Experience

  • 8-10 Years of site experience preferably in gulf countries.
  • UAE large projects experience is preferred.
  • Previous Experience in Infrastructure projects such as new villas compound development or new city development.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Familiar with all the Mechanical Engineering methodologies as well as the corresponding equipment, materials, consumables, tools and workforce allocations related to Mechanical works for building projects.
  • Experience in basic design requirements, estimation, installation and all site activities related to all mechanical works for construction of large-scale building projects.
  • Well versed in interpreting and executing mechanical related drawings.
  • Proven ability to perform in a technical lead capacity.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in collaboration with different teams.

Job Summary:

The function of this position is to provide a high level of competency in leading technical master planning and urban design activities both independently and as a leader of a project team.
A broader outcome of this hire is to support the business development of the master planning team by leading work winning efforts across different markets and locations, both for existing internal and external clients as well as new ones.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Master planning: carrying out independent site visits to do SWOT analysis of sites/ developments, development of high level conceptual options, location and layout of master planning land uses, identifying population and GFA demands from master plans through benchmarking of projects, knowledge of current trends and technologies in planning and integrating inputs and outputs with the environmental, infrastructure and transportation planners.
  • Urban design: writing and illustrating urban design and concept architecture concepts, explanation and analysis of a project’s requirements to develop urban design and landscape guidelines, bench marking studies for comparable developments, development of presentations and reports to explain the same.
  • Architecture: writing and illustrating concepts around different types of architecture, explanation and analysis of a project’s requirements to develop project briefs, strategies and guidelines, bench marking studies for comparable developments, development of presentations and reports to explain the same.
  • Landscape design: writing and illustrating landscape design and placemaking concepts, explanation and analysis of a project’s requirements to develop strategies and guidelines, bench marking studies for comparable developments, development of presentations and reports to explain the same.
  • Leadership: Leading (project managing) design projects for both internal and external clients. Leading, taking records at progress meetings, presentations and workshops.
  • Design and production of deliverables: Managing self and outputs but that of support staff to prepare high quality, modern looking documents that stands out from the peers due to their presentation style and reporting.
  • Responding to ad hoc client and stakeholder requests: Quick turnaround for short planning, urban design exercises.
  • Meeting and establishing relationships with local authorities.
  • Responsible for managing/adhering to any additional tasks given by the Chairman apart from BAU (Business as usual) activities.

Job Requirements:

Education and Formal Training

  • Relevant bachelor’s degree in architecture, and or urban design with a masters/ doctorate in urban design, planning or development from a recognized university.
  • Strong aptitude and ability to use software’s like AutoCAD, ArcGIS, Sketchup, InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.

Work Experience

  • 8-10 years of experience in residential site planning with consultancy or a private developer.
  • Prior experience in working in the Middle East region, including the ability to travel to various locations at short notice.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate should possess and be able to demonstrate the following skills and knowledge. These points should align with the key areas of responsibility:

  • Sound knowledge of international best practices and demonstration of use of innovative techniques in urban design, urban planning, and sustainable development.
  • Excellent hand drawing skills.

Job Purpose:

  • Sketch preliminary design plans, including electrical layouts
  • Strong graphics and visualization skills to communicate design ideas
